That's weird. Looks like the Doctor was watching the same episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer that I was last night. There's a demon in the internet! Okay, so there wasn't quite. But there nearly was, and I think Giles was better at fighting it, quite frankly. No offence intended to the Doctor, as I really enjoyed tonight's episode (even if I am a bit bored with whoever Clara is already). It's just that watching it after last night's Buffy was a bit off-putting. I suppose that's the kind of thing that happens when you avoid spoilers to the extent of not reading the synopses in the Radio Times. Next Buffy episode is "The Puppet Show". What are the odds that next week's Doctor Who will feature a demon slayer trapped in the body of a ventriloquist's dummy? And a school principal with glowing ears? I'd settle for Tony Head with a big book, but I'm unlikely to get that either.

PS: Why has the Great Intelligence taken on the form of the alternate universe Ninth Doctor? That was weird. I'm loving the new TARDIS interior, though. Sorry, that point was in no way connected to the first. They just came out of my head at the same time.

PPS: Can we let the danger get a bit more dangerous before we de-danger it next time please? It's like the Doctor comes running in and saves the day before the day actually feels in any particular peril, and the peril bit is where most of the fun comes from. I'm not saying you absolutely have to go the Buffy route of having the demon in the internet murder half the students at the local school, but maybe it could threaten to? Or even just glare at them a little? Some tension would be good, was my point.

Shutting up now.

I thought the aliens in the trailer looked quite 'Star Wars'-ey. I was a little disappointed the monk turned out not to be The Monk. Still fez! Visit London! I'm OK I only get one wi-fi. Nice to see Richard E Grant back, is this why he was underused in the Xmas special, is he going to be like The First?

Yeah, kill more people(!).

Killing people is always good. ;)

I expect we'll be seeing more of Richard E Grant as the series progresses, yes, although obviously I haven't read anything. Looks like a promising plot thread though. He was in the Christmas special? My brain is empty.
