The OC ended. I am sad. It was supposed to be a teen drama, but it hooked me completely in 2004, and I've had great fun revisiting it. Seasons two onwards steadily decreased in quality, so I've kept my rewatch to season one, which has left me wanting more rather than less. This may be short-sighted, or it may be a good idea, but either way I love season one a ridiculous amount. It's so well done. I love the spectacular, hissable evilness of Caleb. I love the awesomeness of Sandy. I love every scene between Caleb and Sandy, with how much they utterly despise each other, but also clearly really love despising each other. I love the endearing hopelessness of Jimmy, and how he and Sandy become friends; and I love the bit when Jimmy decks Caleb, just because. I don't especially love Ryan's seventeen year old former girlfriend, who is quite clearly nowhere near seventeen, despite her repeated assurances; although the character herself is reasonably good. I love every scene between Sandy and Kirsten, especially when they're talking about Caleb. I love Seth and his awkwardness and geekiness. I don't entirely love how his early scenes recall my own school days with horrible clarity, but I suppose that shows how well the series is realised. I also love how fierce and desperate he is at the end, when he faces the prospect of losing the only friend he's ever had, and knows that he won't survive if he has to go back to how things used to be.

I am also faintly amused by how nobody knows what I'm talking about.

PS: Note to self: Do not argue with people on the IMDb forums. Do not argue with people on the IMDb forums.

PPS: Especially when it's about gun control.

PPPS: I have fruit cake! Also The Reign Of Terror, but I shall only be eating one of them.

PPPPS: It's the fruit cake, in case you were wondering.
