Milkshakes. Also, stuff.

The OC is now Oliverless. Nowhere is there Oliver. This is good. Oliver wandered in about half a dozen episodes ago, and I think we were supposed to be involved in his storyline, about a poor little rich boy with drug problems. But just like Marissa, being a poor little rich girl with drug problems, he wasn't interesting. And then he went mad and was, but then they took him away. Anyhow, he's gone. And I realise that I'm the only person who cares, as I'm the only person who knows what The OC is. Still, Oliverlessness. Hooray! Also, I think Sandy trying to give The Talk to Seth may be the best thing that's been on my television all month. Sandy is awesome. All parents should be Sandy. Even the mothers.

There was probably something else. Bloody Strictly Come Dancing is on on Christmas Day, so Christmas Doctor Who is insanely early, and I won't be able to watch it live. It's not half so much fun recorded. And all this for dancing? No fair. In what world is dancing supposed to take precedence over blowing stuff up? Not that there's necessarily stuff being blowed up on Christmas Doctor Who, I'm just hoping. It is Christmas after all.

Um. No, that was probably it. I make no pretence about there being anything in my life more interesting than television. Although I have a chocolate soya milkshake. That's not television, but admittedly also not very interesting. Except to me. And possibly for the milkshake, at least for the next three minutes, until it's gone.

I am confused about Christmas. What is it I'm supposed to be celebrating, since I'm not a Christian? And it's a weird and over-commercialised holiday anyway. I feel a bit like a fraud even having a Christmas. Maybe I need to give it a different name. Or stop thinking so much. Or convert, I don't know. Or possibly just celebrate chocolate soya milkshakes. That could work.

They even danced to Bo Rhap in the final!!

Dancing I like. It's amazing watching Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly going at it. It's the game show element I hate. Proper dancing:

ah, Cab Calloway was very cool. Have you ever watched Strictly? It's not a tacky game show, it is a competition but not a tacky game show. I am really trying to convert everyone but I find that people who don't watch it have assumptions that it would be crap!!

I'll be taping DW, there's no point trying to watch anything half decent on Christmas Day due to overconsumption overload. We'll be watching 'Emmerdale' instead I expect! I like watching proper dancers too as I like being impressed.

I used to enjoy the "Emmerdale" Christmas episode. It was always so much happier than the other soaps! Haven't seen it since Chris Tate was still around, though.

It must be getting close to the twentieth anniversary of the plane crash? I wonder if they'll mark it.

Ah Chris & Kim Tate those were the days! It not half as good now. The happiness is gone the residents of the Dales celebrated by secretly burying a corpse & faking a burglary, spreading the cheer. Don't think they'll mark the plane crash everything that happened before 2001 is no longer mentioned.

Yes, I've seen it. I do try to avoid assumptions, and I always watch a show before I condemn it. Well, usually. Well, most of the time. Probably. It's really not my sort of thing, though. The judges, and the sobbing, and the judges, and the contestants, and the judges. The professionals are good, though. It should just be about them dancing!

I agree the judges go over the top sometimes, they can annoy me.
