Bradley Cooper in Nip/Tuck

A couple of people have asked me to do this recently, so here's some screencaps of Bradley C in season five of Nip/Tuck. This is just the first couple of episodes, but he gets a very good introduction to the show. For those who haven't seen Nip/Tuck - which is 99.9% of the world - firstly, where were you for the last seven years?!, and secondly here's your guide to what Face was doing before he was Face. (Taking his shirt off a lot, basically).

So, Nip/Tuck. It was a medical comedy/drama series about two plastic surgeons based in Miami, but in season five they relocated to California - and became consultants on a medical comedy/drama series about a plastic surgeon. There were a lot of in-jokes. :) Star of the show-within-the-show was Aidan Stone (Bradley Cooper), a conceited, power-crazed actor, spectacularly vain, and with the morals of a sewer rat. We first meet him when Sean and Christian, the two stars, watch his show for the first time.

Seducing a woman in a hotel room, before suddenly - oh no! - a medical emergency demands action!

Opening credits.

Drama!

Cutting edge graphics!

Excitement!

It's a classic. Trust me. ;)

Nobody's going to die on my shift, damn it!

Crash cart! Stat!

You want to do a musical episode?

Are you nuts?!

Wait a minute. Realism?

You want to put realism into my medical drama?!

I think I preferred the musical idea.

See this hair? You do not put this hair under a surgical cap.

Cocky bastard.

Getting his ego bubble burst. Temporarily.

We must operate! Immediately! And be heart-breakingly sensitive whilst doing it, damn it!

Real surgery is awesome!

We need a tourniquet! But there's no medical equipment anywhere in the room, even though it's an operating theatre! There's only one thing for it!

I must heroically rip off all my clothes!

(The realism thing clearly didn't take).

Why am I the only one with no clothes on?

Can't we all take our clothes off? Wouldn't that be more realistic?

Just in case you hadn't realised it yet.

So there you have it. During the course of the fifth season they go on to have great fun taking the mick out of the television industry, and BC's character is quite a big part of that. He's not in every episode, but he crops up a fair bit, usually being spectacularly ghastly. It looked like it was a good fun role to play.

And I recommend the show whole-heartedly, btw. Season five was designed to be accessible to those who had never seen the series before, but it's much, much better if you start with season one.

You won't regret it. ;)

You did it! Brilliant. I love those episodes. And the tourniquet scene! "Somebody get me a tie! No, goddammnit, it's Casual Friday!" :D Got to see it again...

Sorry, I must get an account here sometime. But you probably know who I am anyway, since nobody else has seen the show...

Heh. Nobody else in this country, anyway! Or that's how it seems...

And yes, I guessed it was you. :)

Been thinking of having an N/T rewatch sometime actually, starting from the very beginning. Send me a message sometime if you want to join in.

Mwahahahahahahahaha ;)
That was absolutely fucking priceless! And no, I haven't seen the show, I think I'd rather read your awesome recaps *giggle* :D

Mostly because I'm not a fan of BC with the short hair, I prefer my men with pretty longer hair *runs my fingers through his pretty long hair* :)

I think BC is the wrong Face if you want floppy hair. Didn't he more or less have a military cut in the movie? Hmm. Clearly I need to watch it again if I can't remember!
