*sigh*

Why is the internet never simple? YouTube just informed me that I'm not allowed to talk to anybody anymore unless I verify my account, despite having been happy to accept that I'm me for the last x years. They said they'd sent an e-mail for me to use for verificationary things, but they hadn't. Then they said I'd have to go and talk to Google and get them to send me another e-mail in place of the one that had got eaten by the cybersaurs. This proved less than straightforward. I have the Google search page set to Italian, as it's good practice. Lately, though, Google has used this to jump to the conclusion that I want all Googly things in Italian. So I had to navigate the "I want you to send me a verification e-mail for YouTube" pages in Italian. Well, good practice. Okay. Then they sent me the e-mail in Italian. Then, account verified, Google welcomed me with open arms as a 'new' user, and has revealed the amazing extent to which they now own everything online by suddenly getting the entire bloody internet talking to me in Italian. That's a little more practice than I was hoping for. Goodness only knows what would have happened if I'd still had the Google search language set to "Elmer Fudd".

What moron let Google buy YouTube, anyway?!
