Happy Birthday Graham Chapman

Graham was always my favourite Python. A true English eccentric in the old sense of the word; and by all accounts equal parts frustrating and truly brilliant. He left the world far too early, way back in 1989, famously choosing the day before Python's twentieth anniversary, and consequently ruining all the celebrations in quite splendid fashion. He had a wonderfully off-beat way of looking at the world; seems to have spent a fair chunk of the sixties and seventies crawling around on a series of floors, trying to bite people's legs; and also managed to devote a good bit of his time to trying to help young gay people, back in the days when they had very few places to turn. Which isn't a bad assortment of things to be remembered for, really. He also wrote one of my favourite books, A Liar's Autobiography, which is partly his life story, and partly not, and is definitely well worth reading. So happy birthday Graham, wherever you are. I hope you're having a good day.

And I still have Medical Love Song stuck in my head, you utter bastard.
