Velociraptor feeding habits

BBC News is reporting a fascinating discovery of a fossil that appears to show a Velociraptor caught in the act of scavenging the corpse of a Protoceratops. This provides an interesting contrast to the famous fossil apparently showing a Velociraptor and a Protoceratops fighting to the death.

Seems likely that a predatory dinosaur would have grabbed an easy, pre-deaded meal if it found one, just as modern predatory animals do. It's still good to see evidence of such behaviour, though, as it does all add colour to the story of their lives.
